A spring break shoutout:
E Cornelison earned a Gold rating in the Scholastic writing contest for the short story entry "The Guitar", and will be moving up to the national level. National medal winners will be announced June 12, 2024.
Additionally, E's second entry in the novel writing category, "Jovial's Game", earned a silver rating for our region.
Way to go E!! Thank you Mrs. Weddle for sharing this information and working with the MWMS Writing Club.

April 4 is School Librarian Appreciation Day. Thank you to Ms. Williams for her work to help promote a love of reading to our Generals. She has been able to expose students to many different types of reading genres and formats, which our Generals seem to love. #GeneralsREAD
Last week, 7th grade students learned geometric concepts while creating custom jewelry pieces for a secret client. In return of their hard work, they got to play games built by Algebra students loaded with geometry.
This was a great way for students at different levels to showcase their learning.

The first week of April is Assistant Principals Week. While we may be on Spring Break this week, we wanted to give Mr. Curtsinger a HUGE SHOUTOUT for his dedication to Mt. Washington Middle School. Thank you Mr. Curtsinger for all you do for our Generals!

Attention 8th grade families:

Students had to have already turned in their dance forms by the deadline and they must meet all requirements on the forms in order to purchase a ticket.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow and Friday for kids going on the 8th grade trip to Washington DC only. They will be on sale for everyone else the week after Spring Break.
