Our NES library is discarding old/outdated books in order to revitalize our catalog! These books will be outside on our front porch and are FREE to students and their families (please do not take our library carts!) They will be outside Monday-Thursday 8 AM-12 PM for the next two weeks.

Mrs. Kim, one of our fabulous bus drivers, is retiring this year! Thank you for 23 years of service. You have been an amazing driver and have kept all our students safe. Happy retirement!

The Nichols Elementary SBDM Principal Selection Ad Hoc Committee is seeking student, staff, parent, and community input as we develop the final criteria we will use to select the next principal for NES. As a committee, we have agreed to the following, but we would like your feedback for further criteria that we should be seeking in our next principal. Starting next week, BCPS will be helping to raise money for the Special Olympics! Students and staff can bring money to vote for either UK or UofL. Dr. Bacon (and Mrs. Bradbury) will wear the winning teams colors for a week!
