Last week, our 4th and 5th graders embarked on an exciting virtual field trip to Fort Knox in Mrs. Wood’s class! Students used inquiry and innovation to determine mileage, map the best route, and dive into the fascinating history of Fort Knox. But the real showstopper? The laser beam security as the entry to her room transformation! This engaging lesson brought learning to life and left students inspired and eager for more.

This week's student spotlight goes out to Russel Meyers. "Russell discovered his peer loved the Titanic when he brought a Lego titanic to school for Show and Tell. Russell was amazed that his friend knew lots of facts about this event in history! Russell apparently went home with a heart full of joy because the next morning he entered the classroom with a model of the Titanic he had made on his own from cardboard and paper! He wanted to surprise Jaxon with his creation and he sure did! Russell also drew a picture of the Titanic for Jaxon. We were so impressed by Russell's empathy and creativity for his friend. At Wellness that day they took the Titanic out to play and (with other friends) pretended to sail and crash into an iceberg. Thank you Russell for inspiring others to use their imagination! " -Mrs. Yocum Way to go Russell! We are thankful you are such a good friend.
