Students showed off their crazy socks for their Crazy for Kindness kickoff today.
Students also decorated coffee sleeves with positive messages and pictures. You can find them at The Local Press Coffee soon, so make sure you stop by and grab some kindness along with your favorite drink.









This weeks teacher spotlight goes out to Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Foushee, Ms. Clements and Mrs. Hodges. "Their hard work organizing the Class Basketball games did not go unnoticed!! The kids look forward to it every year, and it's always such a blast!! You all rock!"

Tuesday kicks off Kindness Week! We will be partnering with Crossroads Elementary for a PB&J collection drive to help Mt. Washington Community Ministries. We will also have some fun dress days that week as well!

This week's student spotlight goes to Ricky Warren-Diaz. "Ricky holds the front doors every morning until we get them locked open for the morning car riders coming in the building. He is always polite to the to the students and staff every single day."

OMES boy's basketball team had their first game of the season today and won! We love being able to see our students do the things they love on the weekends!








Today our academic team competed in their district competition and walked away with 2nd place! Great job to our academic team students and coaches! Regionals, here we come!









4th grade students participated in an MTSS enrichment project where students used the engineering design process and their knowledge of area and measurement to design a comfy sitting area for our guests of honor at our Story time Safari Reading Day- Old Mill Kindergarteners and their stuffed animal pals.

This week student spotlight goes out to the entire Archery Team. "The archers have been instrumental in helping Ms. Rucker teach the “Introduction to Archery” Unit in the 4th/5th grade PE classes. They have been EXCELLENT student leaders in stepping up to help work one-on-one with other students that are completely new to archery. I am SO very proud of them!" -Ms. Rucker

We are very grateful for the incredible team at the Bullitt County Health Department and the dedicated students from Bullitt East Dental Program for their recent visit to Old Mill. Their passion for dental education and commitment to community well-being left an indelible mark on all of us.
