Good luck to our Academic, Archery and Chess teams as they compete this weekend!

It's National School Counselor Week and PGE is fortunate to have one of a kind. Mrs. Barnett is AMAZING! She greets our students each morning with a smile, meets with individuals and small groups, teaches various lessons on social and emotional learning, works with our families, and spends time listening to anyone that needs to talk. We LOVE our school counselor and are grateful the service she provides us each and everyday!

The B-Team Dolphin Cheerleaders of Pleasant Grove are headed to Walt Disney World to compete in the UCA Nationals! The team earned a bid during their regional performance in Lexington late last year and have been hard at work perfecting their routine.
Join us in wishing them luck as they compete February 10-12.

It's National FRYSC Day! We are incredibly grateful for Mrs. Rebecca Johnson. The support she provides for our students, families, and staff is immeasurable. We cannot thank her enough:)

Due to a last minute illness Bus 2078 will not be running this afternoon. Families will need to self-transport.

Happy 100th Day of school!!

Our third graders are gearing up for some serious trials as they perform various plays. Today we heard the beginning of The State vs. Mr. Wolfie S. Badd. The jury is eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the trial to determine their verdict!

Congratulations to PGE 4th grader, Peyton Diersing, who is number one in the state in ju jitzu!

They not only won a national championship for their age division but they also beat all of the other teams in the competition, and were crowned grand champions. Mrs. Bibee’s class is using their research and schema of climate zones to determine which climate zone grandma is sending postcards from as she travels the world. Sneaky grandma only gave clues…

Hello PGE Families,
As many of you know, we do a STEM challenge at the school every year. After the schoolwide challenges are completed, our school winners compete in the District Challenge. To complete the schoolwide challenge, we need your help. There are some materials we need. Please consider donating! Materials can be sent in with students or dropped off at the front office.
K-2 Challenge:
- Straws (please DON'T send in bendy straws)
- pipe cleaners
3-5 Challenge
- rubber bands
- bottle caps (like you would find on a 2-liter or a bottle of pepsi)
- Conversation hearts (the Valentines Day Candy)
- glue dots
- scotch tape
Thank you so much for your help! If you decide to donate, please send in the materials by Friday, January 20.

Mr. Kentucky Football and Gatorade Player of the Year, Travis Egan, stopped by the library when he visited PGE today to start a mentoring program.

You would definitely want to have Ms. Clark’s students around if ever stranded on a deserted island. Today they used the materials available to create a hat that would protect their bodies from the sun. They had to share the properties their hats needed as well.

Mrs Bibee’s class was chillin in their snowman gear today!
