Bullitt County Public Schools is proud to announce that Kim Haire, a dedicated teacher at Bullitt Lick Middle School, has been accepted into the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Champion Educator (ACE) Program.
This competitive two-year professional development initiative is designed for Kentucky educators with three or more years of teaching experience. The ACE Program equips teachers to integrate agriculture-based learning into classrooms through agriculture literacy, kinesthetic education, community engagement, and leadership development. Throughout the two-year program, ACE educators will participate in interactive learning experiences including industry tours, advocacy events, and the National Ag in the Classroom Conference.
Ms. Haire’s acceptance into the ACE cohort reflects her commitment to the District's Core Value of "Proactive Innovation", as she seeks to enrich her students’ education with hands-on, real-world learning that connects to Kentucky’s agricultural heritage and future.
Amanda Nokes, Principal at Bullitt Lick Middle School, shared her excitement about Ms. Haire’s accomplishment:
“We are so proud of Ms. Haire. Her passion for agriculture education creates incredible opportunities for our students to connect learning to the world around them in truly authentic ways. This is a well-deserved recognition of her leadership and dedication.”
Bullitt County Public Schools celebrates Ms. Haire’s dedication to innovative, authentic teaching practices that inspire students to grow as Innovative Problem Solvers and Community Contributors, two of the key competencies in our Graduate Profile. Her leadership and vision for agriculture education will benefit not only her students but the broader Bullitt County community.
Congratulations, Ms. Haire, for this outstanding achievement and for continuing to move our district forward. #MovingForward
