Mount Washington Middle School will be implementing calming spaces in each individual classroom for the 23-24 school year. Classroom calming spaces will allow students to identify their emotions and self regulate within the classroom setting, but also provide them a more private place to do so. We have created a starter tool kit for each calming space, but still need seating for each space, which is where we need our community's help! If you are willing and/or able to help us in providing these spaces for our students please visit our wish list to donate to our school. Thank you for your help in making our students' mental health a priority. MWMS Families and Supporters: MWMS will be working on PBL (Project Based Learning) activities this school year. We are in need of a variety of items to complete these activities throughout the school year. If you can donate any of the following items to our projects, please drop them off at MWMS. Here are the 2023-2024 Supply Lists. There is a 6th grade list and a 7th/8th grade supply list. Please note that there is a yearly $35 district Chromebook lease fee and a $20 MWMS Technology fee. MySchoolBucks can be used, but may not be ready at the moment. Here are some upcoming dates of interest. Chromebook distribution for 6th graders and new to MWMS students is being planned for Aug. 1's Transition meeting. District lease fee is $35. Doors open at MWMS on Aug. 9 at 7:40 am. School begins at 8:00 am. Students planning to tryout on Aug. 10 for the Lady Generals Basketball Team must have a current sports physical. (This is different than the 6th grade physical.) We are working hard to finalize supply lists for all grade levels and hope to have them available very soon for distribution. #GeneralsLEAD
