While our Cultural Night was a team effort, we want to give a special "paws up" to our incredible EL teacher, Lynn Lagermann.
Mrs. Lagermann didn’t just coordinate the logistics of this massive event; she pours her heart into our multilingual students every single day, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Her dedication is the bridge that connects so many of our families to the heart of Overdale.
Mustang Fact: Mrs. Lagermann helps support students from 15 different countries daily!

Our Literacy and Cultural Night was a beautiful reminder of what makes our Mustang family so strong.
From teachers leading global crafts to parents sharing their favorite native dishes like conchas and con gris, it was a true community effort! Whether you were riding the Hillview Express or exploring a new book together, the energy was all about connection.
We love seeing our students, staff, and families come together to celebrate the cultures that enrich our school every single day.
Mustang Fact: This community-wide event was fully funded by Title I to support our families! #MustangFamily #BetterTogether #OESCommunity #CulturalCelebration #StrongerTogether
At Overdale, our hallways represent the entire globe!
We are so proud to be home to over 70 multilingual learners representing 15 different countries. Our Mustang family spans 5 continents and speaks 8 different languages, proving that while we may come from different corners of the map, we all run together as one pack.
Mustang Fact: Approximately 1/5 of our student body is a multilingual learner!

Our lost and found is overflowing with jackets, water bottles, and more—waiting to be reunited with their owners! Please remind your student to take a quick peek and claim anything that belongs to them.
Any items still left after May 8th will be gathered up and donated to the FRC and local organizations to help others in our community.
Thank you for helping us find these items a home!

We currently have 42% of our students registered for the 2026-2027 school year!
Please note a significant update to this year’s OLR process: we will be requiring all registering existing families to upload a current Photo ID/Driver's License of Parent/Guardian with their current address and 2 proofs of residency. This is a necessary step to ensure the accuracy of our enrollment records and to ensure we have updated addresses for all our families.
We encourage you to begin preparing your necessary residency documentation ahead of the registration.
Below you will find a list of acceptable documents:
Current Photo ID/Driver’s License
(2) - Proofs of Residency:
Authentic home builder contract with approved district transfer, lease, closing statement, or other home dwelling document.
Utility bill: Current electricity, gas or water bill with current address
Current employee check stub with current address
Current vehicle registration that matches the driver’s license submitted
Government agency correspondence with current address
Voter registration card
Thank you for your assistance as we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year. Please get your household completed ASAP, if you need assistance please call the OLR hotline 502-869-6574 or the school at 502-869-2800. We would like to get as many students registered before Summer Break!

Our Literacy and Cultural Night turned every classroom into a new destination!
From crafting delicate paper lanterns inspired by Tikki Tikki Tembo in 3rd Grade to creating vibrant papel picado for Mexico in Kindergarten, our Mustangs combined reading with hands-on heritage. It was a night of exploring new worlds through books and bringing those stories to life through art.
Mustang Fact: Every student went home with FREE books to keep their personal libraries growing!
