We had 2 great Mustang Meetings this afternoon. Mrs. Byrd's class won the Golden Horseshoe! Also, we celebrated our Mustang of the Month and Kind Kids! Way to go Mustangs!

We had a lot of Mustang Spirit today! Tomorrow, Friday October 31 is CREEPY BUT CAREFUL! Wear a school-appropriate Halloween costume or shirt to scare unsafe medicine habits away! No masks, face paint or accessories with your costume.

We had several staff and students shining bright today! Tomorrow Thursday is Safe Schools Safe Community. Wear school spirit wear shirts today to show that we are a united school.

Congratulations, Overdale students and families! We have earned the Trailblazer status for Beanstack (at least 75% participation) and also we have already met our first goal of 42,000 minutes for the year. The goal is now set at 53,000 minutes. Keep up the good work and keep reading!

We had several staff and students in their team shirts/jerseys today. Tomorrow Wednesday October 29 is Be Someone's Sunshine - Shine a little light - wear yellow and be someone's sunshine!

Shoutout to the 4th grade team for bringing vocabulary to life with a new digital tool that turns recall into exploration!

Today was the first day of Red Ribbon week. We saw lots of students and staff in their pajamas Tomorrow, Tuesday is Team Up for Safety! Wear your favorite sports shirt or jersey!

Overdale Elementary is in need of a minority representative for our School-Based Decision Making (SBDM) Council. Joining our SBDM Council is an opportunity to actively participate in the governance of our school and directly influence our policies and priorities. Thank you to all our families for a great FALL FESTIVAL! The OES PTO raised funds to support classroom initiatives and field trips because of you. We hope you had a blast!

Friday, October 24 is PJ day for $1.00 sponsored by our 5th grade students to help raise funds for their end of the year field trip.

🗣️ Effective Communicators in Action! 💬 Mrs. Gibbs’ class worked together using a Jot Thoughts activity to come up with strong reasons to support a claim! 🧠✍️ Students shared ideas, built on each other’s thinking, and practiced being clear, confident communicators. 💡👏
