The following info comes from Cyber Safe Schools:
Protecting Our Students From Online Predators
S*xtortion cases have skyrocketed—from 44,000 in 2021 to over 500,000 last year. That’s about 28 cases a day in Kentucky, and it can take as little as 45 minutes for a child to be targeted. It’s happening to great kids of every age.
Our Parent Challenge features a 30-minute online training with Detective Mike Lemon that gives you real tools to help keep your child safe.
How to participate (and help your child’s class win pizza!):
1️⃣ Click the link: https://bit.ly/kybullitt
2️⃣ Watch the video
3️⃣ Complete the quick survey that pops up afterward
The challenge runs 12/8 – midnight 12/12.
Let’s work together to keep our students safe—more info coming tomorrow! 💙🛡️

Please order your yearbook online at Jostens' or School Cash Online.
Last day to order is February 28, 2026.

We are so grateful for our amazing Special Education staff at Overdale who go above and beyond for our students.
Their patience, advocacy, and love help each student shine in their own way.
Thank you for all you do—today and every day! 🌟

Greetings, families!
Our day begins at 9 AM. Your child’s teacher has shared the Google Meet link via ROOMS with you that will be used today to have students engage virtually on their Chromebooks.
We heard families via our district NTI survey, and we have restructured our day. Your student will have two large blocks of virtual instruction – one in the morning, and one in the afternoon. Your student’s teacher will share a schedule if they have not done so already.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher. You can text them via ROOMS or email them at First.Last@bullitt.kyschools.us
We also have staff responding to our office email, oesoffice@bullitt.kyschools.us
We are here to help. Stay safe today, Mustangs!

On this Thanksgiving, the Overdale Elementary staff is filled with profound gratitude for our wonderful students, whose energy and eagerness to learn inspire us every single day. We are incredibly thankful for our supportive families, too, that partner with us, reinforcing learning at home and dedicating time to school events. We wish every student and family a joyous and restful Thanksgiving. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on December 1!

They are also using technology to personalize their learning with i-Ready!
But the most important skill they're developing? Learning to collaborate and play together! Building those social foundations every day at Overdale Elementary. 🤝

This weekend, fourth grader Lincoln Coates represented Overdale Elementary at the BCPS chess tournament at North Bullitt High School. Coates said he had fun, and we are proud of the way he represented our school.
As a reminder, anyone can join chess any time. The club meets after school on Tuesdays. There are still more tournaments coming, too! Anyone with questions or that wants to sign up for our club should email coach Brian Hester or call 502-869-2800.

Our Friday is already Dino-mite! 🦖 Dr. DeWar and his prehistoric pal welcomed our Mustangs to Overdale Elementary today. We have dino-mite learning happening every single day!
