This is a reminder to complete your students online registration for the upcoming 2026-2027 BCPS school year If you have not yet done so. You may notice that this registration is a little different than previous years. It is required that you upload two up-to-date proofs of residency along with a current driver's license for the primary address of the enrolled student(s). Kindergarten Camp is coming! 🎒✨

Do you have an incoming kindergartener? Get them ready for a great start to the school year by joining our Kindergarten Camp! This is a fun and welcoming way for students to meet new friends, explore the school, and build confidence before the first day. 💛

First graders started their chicks project! A grandparent donated enough eggs that each of Mrs. Cummings' students will get to monitor their own egg!

The District STEM competition was last night and both our teams did a FANTASTIC job being innovative problem solvers. Their challenge was to build a spaghetti tower that would withstand an earthquake! Both teams had one of the tallest structures of the night and our K-2 team walked away with 2nd place overall! Way to go Mustang engineers!

Overdale families! Join us for fun literacy activities, food trucks, and a celebration of the 11 countries represented by students and families at Overdale! Our Title I Literacy Night is co-sponsored by our PTO and is sure to be a blast! The event is Friday, April 24 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.

Mrs. Scott’s class adopted a cow back in October.  We have watched our cow grow through monthly updates.  Today we joined a live video to see Jane.  Farmer Chris taught us all about raising dairy cows.

Paraprofessional Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the incredible staff we have at Overdale. Our paraprofessionals consistently go above and beyond to support our students, staff, and community. We are so grateful for all they do!

Mrs. Cox, our school librarian at Overdale, is an incredible resource for our school! She is always helpful with all of our book needs and loves making sure students have access to books that match their interests. She also enjoys introducing them to new authors, topics, and genres they may have never discovered.

Overdale: Tonight is our Domino’s Pizza Night at the Hillview location! Skip cooking, and stop in to grab dinner while supporting Overdale’s PTO. Every order helps give back to our school!

Our Lost and Found is full! If your student is missing jackets, water bottles, or other items, please remind them to check this week. Any items not claimed will be donated.

These students have read and logged at least 10 minutes this week for Beanstack. Don't forget to log those Spring Break reading minutes to help us reach our 200,000 minute goal!

Please join us for Life Beyond Elementary - Helping Students with Autism Succeed After Elementary School! We will meet in the Overdale Media Center on April 14 to hear from five BCPS families on how district and community resources have helped their student succeed beyond elementary school. Program starts at 6 PM.

💻BCPS Online Registration (OLR) for the 2026-2027 School Year This is a reminder to complete your students online registration for the upcoming 2026-2027 School Year. Please note a significant update to this year’s OLR process: we will be requiring all registering existing families to upload a current Photo ID/Driver's License of Parent/Guardian with their current address and 2 proofs of residency. This is a necessary step to ensure the accuracy of our enrollment records and to ensure we have updated addresses for all our families. Below you will find a list of acceptable documents: 🪪 Current Photo ID/Driver’s License 📋2 - Proofs of Residency: ✔️Authentic home builder contract with approved district transfer, lease, closing statement, or other home dwelling document. ✔️Utility bill: Current electricity, gas or water bill with current address ✔️Current employee check stub with current address ✔️Current vehicle registration that matches the driver’s license submitted ✔️Government agency correspondence with current address ✔️Voter registration card If you have questions or need help with registration, please reach out by calling the OLR Hotline at 502-869-6574 or the OES main office line at 502-869-2800.
