Final KASA Fundraiser Update!
We did it, Old Mill! Thanks to your generosity, we raised a grand total of $887.24 for Special Olympics—surpassing our $800 goal!
Kentucky took the win with $504.50 raised, which means… Mrs. Joiner gets to keep wearing her Kentucky blue!

This week's student spotlight goes out to Owen and Easton. They saw a need and filled it! When we cleaned up Makerspace today they could tell some zippered bags were not fitting in the bins well and took the time to take them all out, resort, and also place random pieces back in the correct bags. They worked as a team and worked efficiently to make a big difference

Our 3rd grade students wrapped up their coding unit in STEAM with creativity, collaboration, and a splash of color! Using Sphero BOLT robots, basic coding skills, and a little paint, students worked in teams to program their robots to draw squares and rectangles. It was a fun and messy challenge that put their productive collaboration to the test—and they rose to the occasion with impressive teamwork and problem-solving!

A beautiful cross-school collaboration came to life Friday at Old Mill!
Students from the Family & Consumer Science course at Bullitt East partnered with Mrs. Yocum’s kindergarten class for a special social-emotional learning project. After reading The Color Monster together and discussing emotions, our kinders designed their own color monsters. The high school students will now hand-sew each one and bring them back to our students!
This project was a powerful example of our students being community contributors—using their time, talents, and hearts to make a difference across schools. We are so grateful for this partnership!
Today was our Girls on the Run 5K, and our girls crushed it! We are so proud of their hard work and determination throughout the season.
Huge shoutout to our incredible coaches, Mrs. Watson and Mrs. Bleemel, for leading and inspiring these girls every step of the way!

Mrs. Grady’s class soared into science today!
Students explored how airplanes take flight, then became innovative problem solvers by designing, building, and testing their own wooden planes!
