17th Annual Storybook Pumpkin Decorating 2026
Students should fill out the digital form and upload a picture with his/her pumpkin to be entered in the contest. All entries should be submitted by Wednesday, October 21st. You must fill out the form to be on the voting ballot. Classes will then get to see all of the pumpkins on display at the book fair during library time. Students will vote by Thursday, October 29th and winners will be announced on broadcast. Below are our contest rules:
Pumpkins should represent a favorite storybook character or book. This is a home project and pumpkins should be done mostly by the students but parents may assist. It would be a fun project to do as a whole family!
Fake pumpkins are encouraged. No carving or puncturing real pumpkins. This causes them to rot and makes a huge mess and terrible smell in the library. If a pumpkin shows signs of rot, we have to discard the pumpkin and affected “props.”
Students should fill out the digital form, then bring decorated pumpkins to school by Wednesday, October 21st. On the form you will upload a picture with your pumpkin. Pumpkins should be taken home on Friday, October 30th. Any remaining pumpkins will be placed under the porch for weekend pickup and discarded the following week.
Student Prizes: Students with the top votes will get a Book Fair Gift Certificate
We’re officially halfway through Fall Break, and we have to admit—we’re missing our Dolphins! We hope everyone is enjoying some well-deserved time to rest, recharge, and make memories with family and friends. 🍁

Our 5th grade students in Ms. Shouse's partnered with our 1st grade Dolphins in Mrs. Bullock's class for a hands-on learning experience! Together, they created maps of our school and then put their work to the test by taking a walk through PGE to see just how well their maps could guide them. 📍👣
We love seeing our older students lead, collaborate, and learn alongside our younger Dolphins while bringing learning to life beyond the classroom!

What says teamwork better than counting, number fun, and problem solving? Our Kindergarten Counting Cafe, of course!
On Friday, our kindergarten students were practicing counting the number of objects in a set, telling how many objects were in the set, and writing the number.
Fun and learning was had by all!
