Congratulations to Pleasant Grove Elementary STLP for bringing home a first place Cinemania trophy from Rupp Arena! This competition gave students only 48 hours to create a 3 minute video using each of the surprise elements (below). Attention parents of INCOMING 6th grade students to Eastside & Mt. Washington Middle Schools:
You and your student are invited to attend an informational meeting about an upcoming MULTI-Bullitt County Middle School trip to ROME & SORRENTO, ITALY over Fall Break 2024 (Your student would be in the 7th grade at the time of the trip).
The meeting will be held in the library of Eastside Middle School on April 20th at 7pm. Parents must be present for the student to attend the meeting. Eastside, Mt. Washington, and Bullitt Lick Middle Schools plan to travel together on this amazing, educational trip that includes a tour of
Pompeii, Vatican City, and a boat cruise around Capri, just to name a few highlights.

Calling all 3rd-5th graders interested in Track-check out this message from Coach Stanton!
Any 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader interested in running track please be at Pleasant Grove Elementary on Wednesday, March 29th at 4:45. Parents, information regarding meets, fees, and shirts will be shared at the first practice/meeting. Please bring a copy of your child's sports physical that is current. Parents will be asked to complete paperwork granting permission for their child's participation, etc. Future communication will be sent using the Remind App. The code to join is @pgetra

The deadline for the KET Education Young Writers Contest is Friday, March 31st! The annual contest seeks to celebrate creativity through four categories of writing – Illustrated Story, Short Story, Poetry, and Graphic Novels. Submissions. Winners will be announced no later than May 30, 2023. Looking for inspiration? You can read the last year’s winning stories and poems as well as listen to audio versions from the authors themselves! After completing the writing piece, students should save it as a PDF beore submitting the form. Winners are awarded across categories and at muliple grade bands with $100, $50, $25 Amazon gift cards to further their creative endeavors!
