Last week we held our first Title 1 Breakfast Buddies events for the school year. The kids had a blast starting their day with a special guest and donuts. Thanks to Best Donuts and EK's Donuts for supplying the yummy treats.

At our October Bullitt Day, Mrs. Jessica Borden and Mrs. April Atherton passed the Excellence and Care awards to more deserving Roby Caregivers.

Mrs. Borden said,"The person I chose to give the Excellence award to is Mrs. Vorster. I am lucky to work alongside of you and to witness your passion and dedication to our students. Together we have created a space that is warm and inviting only for learning but also a genuine sense of family and belonging for our kiddos. "

Mrs. Atherton presented the Care award to the entire third grade team. These ladies (Bruffy, Henriksen, Milby and Taylor) have gone above and beyond to support not only students but staff. They are supporting new staff through mentoring and collaboration. They find little ways to brighten someone's day with kindness each week.

Our first Breakfast Buddies Event of the year is coming up next week. Please sign up for this fantastic event by Friday, October 17th. Breakfast is from 8:40-9:10 on Tuesday, October 21st (M/T PreK, 1st, 3rd, 5th) and Thursday, October 23rd (W/Th Pre K, Headstart, K, 2nd, 4th). An adult breakfast is $3.25. Food from restaurants/fast food is not permitted in cafe. Please have the exact change.
