Yesterday was our final family meeting of the year! Students enjoyed spending time with their families and house members playing Bingo, participating in a chalk party, dancing, and enjoying several other fun activities. We wrapped up the day with an exciting House Assembly where the RED HOUSE was crowned the winning house of the year!

Families, please check your email for a few updates from SES regarding SBDM elections and staffing.

Families, SES will be conducting a special election pursuant to the SBDM guidelines in order to elect a parent member and minority member to the school's SBDM council. SES currently has a parent seat up for election and an open minority member.
The SBDM Council meets once a month on a standing date determined by the committee. SBDM Councils are crucial to ensuring the school has a council of elected members to collaborate on various needs that focus on the successful growth of our school. Our Council reviews funding, works to establish policies that further the goals of our school, and sets/reviews progress of school in a number of ways.
Definitions: “Parent” means: To be eligible to serve parent members must have a child who will be enrolled at the school during the term of the office. They must not be related (Related: Mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, husband, wife, aunt, uncle, son-in-law or daughter-in-law) to anyone working at SES, members of the district school board/central office, or spouses of district school board members/central office.
“Minority” means: 1. American Indian; Alaskan native; African-America; Hispanic, including persons of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and underrepresented in the school.
Nominations are due Friday, May 8th at 10:00 AM, 2026. If you are nominating someone please complete a nomination form found in the SES office. Elections will be held in the following week after nominations are collected.

This includes BOTH returning and new students.
