Families, due to a tech issue we have to push back our Paloma rollout for one week. I am told the issue will be resolved this week and we will be able to begin the week of January 26th and K-2 families will receive their first text on that date. I apologize for the inconvenience and are excited for our families to have access to Paloma beginning next week!

Families, remember that if your student is in Kindergarten, 1st grade, or 2nd grade you should be receiving your first text message from Paloma in the coming days! Remember, Paloma is a free program for all Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade families that provides individualized daily literacy lessons for students. There’s no app, no sign ups, and no requirements. Your student being an SES student is all you need! Beginning the week of January 19th you will receive a daily text message with a link to a 10-15 minute lesson you can complete with your student at home each day.

There’s no requirement, this isn’t for a grade, it isn’t homework, it’s just another way that we can all help your student be their best self each day! We’re very excited to partner with Paloma and hope it can be a big help to our students and families at home!

Families, please remember that Monday, January 5th is a Bullitt Day and students do not have school. However, SES will be having scheduled parent-teacher conferences on that day. Prior to break our teachers worked to schedule conferences and have them scheduled throughout the day on the 5th. If you've scheduled a conference please be on time so that teachers can stay on schedule. Thank you!

Families, at this point it seems the majority of the issues with Spectrum have been resolved for the time being. If you're still having issues with connecting please reach out to your student's teacher or call the school and we can help determine the cause of the issue. Thanks for your flexibility this morning, we appreciate it!
