Message from BCPS:
This We are pleased to announce that all Bullitt County Public Schools will open and resume their normal schedule on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. We have been cleared to safely reopen our buildings. To ensure all students and staff have access to safe drinking water, we will be providing bottled water at school as needed. We appreciate your patience and cooperation and look forward to welcoming your children back to school today.

Families please see the message from BCPS if you haven't already:
Thank you for your understanding as we navigate an urgent situation in our community. A major water main break has left our schools without running water, functioning toilets, or HVAC systems. With outside temperatures nearing 90 degrees, it is not safe to keep buildings open for students and staff.
As a result, all Bullitt County Public Schools will be closed today, August 19. This is not an NTI day. At this time, we do not have a timetable for when service will be restored, but we will continue to monitor the situation and share updates as quickly as possible.
High school students who were already in transit this morning are being returned home by bus.
We recognize the disruption this causes for families, and we are deeply grateful for your flexibility and patience as we work through this challenge. Please continue to check district communication channels for the latest information.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our students and staff.

Open house has been scheduled for Thursday, August 7th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Kindergarten families please try to arrive at 5:00 for information regarding your student and their classrooms.
**To ease congestion we ask families of K-2 students to come between 5:00 - 6:00 and 3-5 students to come between 6:00-7:00, but if your schedule doesn't allow for it, please come when you can.
* We will not be able to help families complete Online Registration (OLR) at open house but we can provide guidance and set up an appointment for families who have not done so.
** If a student has not completed OLR, we will not be able to assign a classroom teacher.
