Also last week, Bullitt East High School was invited to present at the Kentucky Board of Education to talk about their experience as a National Banner Unified Champion School (BEHS is one of only 3 in the state)! Students Olivia and Courtney alongside teacher and sponsor Mrs. Minton spoke about how Project UNIFY is just a "way of life" at BEHS and the many ways it helps *all* students feel valued and included. Also in attendance were proud BEHS Principal, Nate Fulghum, and other supportive students: Misti, Kaylynn, Reagan, and Cooper. The photos here tell a great story... Not only do you see our students and staff leading at the state level, you can also see our students chatting with State Board Members and our Interim Commissioner of Education like it's no big deal. Talk about confidence! #MovingForward #BCPSEmbraceDifferences #CollegeCareerTraditionUnrivaled

On their first day back from Fall Break, a group of our teachers came together for "PBL FLEX 101". This was the first of three dates throughout the next few months that teachers will spend learning all about Project-Based Learning and how those types of authentic learning experiences can benefit our students, connect to our Graduate Profile, and, ultimately, help ensure that they are ready to succeed in life! #MovingForward
