We are incredibly proud of the 4th-graders at Overdale Elementary for their outstanding Black History Month Wax Museum exhibition held Thursday, Feb. 26th!✨
Our students demonstrated exactly what it means to be Mastery Learners. Through rigorous research and curiosity, they delved deep into the lives of influential African American figures, uncovering the impact these individuals have had on our global community.
The exhibition was a masterclass in Effective Communication. As community guests toured the museum, students stood ready to share their knowledge with poise, passion, and clarity. It is inspiring to see our young learners connect with history while developing the essential skills they need for the future.
Congratulations to the students, teachers, and staff at Overdale for hosting such a meaningful and educational event! 🌟

Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders at BCPS! 👑
It has been an absolutely incredible week for our district! We were honored to have Miss Kentucky, Ariana Rodriguez, visit several of our BCPS locations, including a very special stop at Bullitt Lick Middle School.
Ariana captivated our students with her powerful story of resilience, proving that adversity and obstacles can be transformed into stepping stones for success. From sharing the vital importance of Kentucky agriculture to leading our Bobcats in the empowering affirmation, "My Future is Mine!", her message resonated deeply across our schools.
We are especially proud of our BLMS students and staff for their heart for service! To support Ariana’s foundation, The Lucky Ones, they spent the week collecting a "mountain" of items for the "Share a Little Luck" Birthday Bag Drive. These donations will ensure that children in foster care feel seen, celebrated, and special on their birthdays. 🍀
Thank you, Miss Kentucky, for pouring into our students and leaving a lasting legacy of wisdom and inspiration at BLMS and throughout BCPS. We truly appreciate you!

🧭 Self-Directed Navigators as they rose to the expectations of a high-profile event with responsibility and poise.
📘 Mastery Learners by applying leadership and public speaking skills developed through FFA beyond the classroom.
