🎉 💪🏻 Talk about #MotivationMonday - Check out what one of our alums, Angela Swan, is up to these days... Angela Swan completed her masonry track test with the Local 4 Union last school year as a senior from Bullitt East. She was identified as an extremely talented young person through her completion of a written test, a skills performance, and an interview. She is currently working with a union contractor, Snell, and is in the Local 4's Union Apprenticeship Program. This program sent her to a "Women in the Trades" conference in Las Vegas last year and now, Angela has been invited to be a part of virtual roundtable called “Labor Women Who Lead”. Talk about living out our Graduate Profile skills and our district's mission of being ready to succeed in life - Angela is exhibiting this each and every day! Congratulations, Angela!! National School Breakfast Week celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success. This gives our students a great start to their learning every single day, + we couldn’t make that possible without our fantastic cafeteria staffs. #NSBW23

Unfortunately, power has not been restored to all of our facilities. In addition, we also have several network systems issues and bus routes that are still impassable. Due to this, BCPS will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 6th. As others in our county may also still be experiencing power outages at this time, this will be a traditional closure with no NTI. The make up day for this cancellation will be May 31st.
