✨ Mrs. Troutman’s 3rd grade students showed what it means to be productive collaborators and innovative problem solvers! They designed their very own multiplication games to help classmates practice and master math facts.
By creating, sharing, and playing together, students are building the skills that prepare them for success — both in and out of the classroom!

🐾 Community Spotlight: Elk Creek Animal Hospital
We were excited to welcome Elk Creek Animal Hospital as partners with our 5th grade team! They helped us launch our math project, “How can we design enclosures with the right volume so that pets have enough space to be healthy and happy?” Students learned firsthand about the unique needs of different animals and discovered how math plays an important role in real-world animal care and enclosure design.

🎉 Fall Festival Update! 🎉
We’ve posted the winners of our raffle baskets below — congratulations to all! 🏆
🎃 If your child brought a pumpkin for the festival, please send it home with them on Monday.
🚌 For our bus riders, the office will be open until 5:30 PM for after-school pick-up on Monday.

Our new Safety Patrol students met with Mrs. Melcher this week to learn their roles and responsibilities after being carefully selected through an application process.
These student leaders are a perfect example of our CREATE expectations — showing Teamwork, Accountability, and Respect as they help monitor the halls and keep everyone safe. We can’t wait to see them in action! 🚦👏

📚 5th Grade Historians at Work!
Mrs. Miller’s class is diving into Pedro’s Journal as they explore the complex legacy of Christopher Columbus. Students are working together to analyze perspectives, uncover key themes, and gather evidence to craft opinion pieces about Columbus’ impact on society.
These historians are quoting accurately from the text, collaborating to compare and contrast ideas, and practicing graduate profile skills like productive collaboration and effective communication. We can’t wait to see the powerful writing that comes from their hard work! 💡✏️

Old Mill Elementary is looking for passionate, student-centered individuals to join our team! 🌟

We hope to see everyone tonight at Fall Festival!
