We are so thankful for the continued love and support from Kings Baptist! Not only do they keep our staff fueled with good food and coffee, but they consistently go above and beyond to show care for both our kids and staff. This year, they are launching a new initiative where their members will “adopt” classrooms—offering encouragement and support throughout the year. We are so lucky to have such a generous and dedicated partner in our school community! 💙

On Mondays, our 3rd–5th-grade Koalas come together during Related Arts for one big Project-Based Learning (PBL) unit. To kick things off, students are exploring our Graduate Profile Competencies—starting with what it means to be an Effective Communicator.
🎨 In STEAM, students took on a fun “Back-to-Back Drawing” challenge! One partner described a hidden picture while the other had to draw it—relying only on listening and clear directions. This strengthened their skills in giving precise instructions and being active listeners.
🏃♂️ In PE, our Koalas worked through teamwork challenges like the “Human Knot” and the “Hula Hoop Team Challenge.” These activities encouraged them to listen carefully, collaborate, and share ideas—skills that are just as important in life as they are in school.

• Creating beautiful décor and balloon arches for Open House
• Sponsoring our staff team-building event
• Gifting school-wide staff t-shirts
• Preparing for our big fall fundraiser, APEX!

This first week back, our community partners went above and beyond to spoil us! 💛
✨ PTO – Kicked off opening day with a delicious breakfast and treated us midweek with a much-needed caffeine station!
✨ Church of the Crossroads – Provided breakfast on our first day with students and surprised Mrs. Biglari with a brand-new shed to store all her treasures for performances!
✨ Mt. Washington Smoothies – Helped us power through Friday with energizing teas to get over that final hump of the week!
We are so grateful for the love and support from our amazing community—it makes all the difference! 🐨💙
