📚✏️ Who says learning has to happen in silos? At Mt. Washington Middle School, ELA and Social Studies teachers teamed up with ElevatED Studios to rethink the traditional school day. By finding natural overlaps in their standards, they co-designed powerful, connected learning experiences that made content more meaningful and relevant for students. This kind of collaboration reflects our staff's commitment to #BCPSProactiveInnovation and #BCPSSharedAccountability because when we blur the lines between subjects, we build deeper understanding and more engaging classrooms for our students. 💈 Community Spotlight 💈 Today we’re honoring Steven Wood of W.H.I.G.S. Barber Shop for his incredible generosity and heart for students. Steven recently donated 15 free haircut vouchers for BCPS students experiencing homelessness through our McKinney-Vento program. His gift is more than a haircut... it’s a boost of confidence and care during a time of uncertainty.
